BIOGRAPHY

Gilles Coupet first approaches theater studying scenography, but he immediately finds himself drawn into the "organic" process of acting and later, the dance.  His natural curiosity led him to discover new horizons and to meet several teachers in various fields such as scenography, theater, contemporary dance, singing, traditional Japanese theater (Noh and kabuki), Spanish dance and flamenco.  As a result, aside from his work as a performer in various companies, from the start of his theatrical career, and cyclically over the years, he creates his own experimental works in his search for an expressive, plastic and suggestive theater language.

• Studies in Paris and first steps with the scenography, physical theater, text and street theater.
• Creator of several shows with his own company in Madrid.
• Collaboration with several theater companies as an actor and mime.
• Dancer in various shows with numerous companies of Spanish dance and flamenco.
• Creation, direction and performing several shows based on physical theater and dance.
• Creator of multiple actions for special events:  inaugurations, commemorations and commercial trademarks events.
  
• Research and realization of visual spectacles based on the technique of black light.
